Forrest Strategy

Commercial strategy for technical and impact-led companies.

For teams with real depth in technology, data, circularity, regulation, materials, infrastructure or mission that still need to become easier to buy, fund, explain and scale.

Positioning

Different markets, one problem.

Serious expertise that has not yet been shaped into something a buyer, funder or partner can say yes to.

Built environment & circular materials

For material innovators, circular construction teams and built-environment ventures moving from technical promise to specification and buyer confidence.

Energy transition & industrial decarbonisation

For companies working around hydrogen, electrolyser supply chains, fuel cells, grid constraints and industrial transition that need a sharper commercial story.

Food, agriculture & bio-based value chains

Origin, traceability and bio-based inputs turned into credible commercial advantage, across producers, exporters, importers and the authorities that regulate them.

ESG, CSRD & sustainability data

Regulation, reporting and data governance translated into value that buyers can understand and act on.

Who this is for

Built for the teams already doing serious work.

Forrest Strategy works with scale-ups, consultancies, technology firms, project teams and founder-led companies that hold strong expertise but need clearer positioning, offers, decks, partnerships, revenue logic or market-entry strategy before the next major buyer, funder, partner or procurement conversation.

How I work

Start with the next conversation. Work backwards.

Most engagements start with a conversation coming up, with a buyer, a board, a funder or a partner, where the current story won't carry it. We start there and work backwards.

01

Positioning and messaging

What you do, who it's for and why it matters commercially, in the language the buyer already uses rather than the language the lab does.

02

Offers and pricing

Turning capability into something with a shape, a scope and a number a client can say yes to.

03

Decks and narrative

Investor, partner and buyer materials built to survive scrutiny in the room, not just look polished on the page.

04

Partnerships and market entry

The route to the next conversation, and the proposition that gets you a seat at it.

Some of this runs as a focused sprint into one deadline. Some runs as ongoing commercial strategy through a raise, a launch or a market entry. Both start with the same question: what has to be true for the next person to commit?

Start with a session

A focused 90 minutes on one proposition.

We pressure-test how it's positioned, where it's losing the buyer, and the sharpest way to take it into the next conversation.

You leave with a clear read on the proposition, the angle most likely to land, and a defined set of next steps you can act on with or without me.

About

The gap between serious work and a buyable offer is the whole job.

Most of the companies I work with have already done the hard part. The technology works. The science holds. The circularity is real. Then the deal stalls, because the person who has to say yes can't tell what they're being asked to buy.

That gap is the whole job.

I've worked both sides of it. Designing circular-economy programmes for the Dutch government, leading commercial strategy in specialty coffee, building data-governance practice, and convening the rooms where circular buyers and builders meet through The Circular Economists. Different sectors, one recurring problem: serious work that hadn't yet been shaped into an offer the market could act on.

Forrest Strategy is what I do about that. The depth in circular and regulatory complexity stays, because most of my clients live there. The work itself is simpler to state. Make the thing legible, make it buyable, get you into the next room with a proposition that holds.

The Circular Economists

Through The Circular Economists, I also build and host the rooms where circular-economy buyers, builders, funders and policymakers meet.
